I am delighted to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Youth ALIVE!, an organization whose work with Alameda County youth is effective and absolutely essential. Youth ALIVE! is a premier youth violence prevention and intervention agency, not only in Oakland, but across the country where its groundbreaking and cutting- edge and programs are studied and copied by any community seriously invested in ending violence.” -- Alameda County Chief of Probation David Muhammad

Since Youth ALIVE! was founded in 1991, we have trained over 900 youth leaders in Oakland and Los Angeles, educated over 45,000 students on violence prevention, assisted over 1,000 victims of violence, and built a network of replication programs that spans 20 cities. That's reason to celebrate!

For our first ever anniversary celebration, event co-chairs Kimberly Horton and Stan Weisner invite you for wine and appetizers followed by a Pan-American feast, short performances by the Oakland Youth Chorus and others, and a silent auction of graciously donated gifts from some great supporters - from Peet's Coffee to Marshawn Lynch. All of this in a beautiful waterside setting at Jack London Square.
