Our 30th Anniversary Event Video –

With watch parties from Antioch to Oakland and friends and families tuning in all across the country, our 30th anniversary event, Saving Lives for 30 Years! was a big success and a lot of fun. With over 200 attendees, so far we have raised nearly $100,000. Thank you for your donations and your interest in our work! Donations continue to come in in response to the event and video. On Sunday, September 19th, event attendees got to see testimonials to Youth ALIVE!, our programs and our people from Congresswoman Barbara Lee, former Congresswoman, survivor and violence prevention legend Gabby Giffords, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks, Moms Demand Action Founder Shannon Watts, Imagine Dragons bass player Ben McKee, and many others.

The centerpiece of the event was a new, 12-minute documentary featuring some of our staff talking about what they do and especially about why they do it.
