We’ve gone virtual, for now

Posted: March 13, 2020

A COVID-19 announcement –

Dear Community,

On March 13th, (when OUSD schools closed), all non-essential Youth ALIVE! activities moved to remote and virtual platforms. As a public health organization that sees and treats violence as an epidemic, we know how important it is to stop the spread of a disease. And we know it is possible.

We will continue to stay in touch with the young people and families who need us, mostly by phone or video. But our offices will remain unpeopled, for now.

Thanks for understanding. And thank for doing what you can to keep yourself safe and to keep the virus from spreading.

Obviously, the situation is liquid, unprecedented, unpredictable, and very challenging. It is a burden for all of us, but for those we work with who have been traumatized by violence, it is also another barrier to overcome in their efforts to live lives of good health and safety.

We will find creative, effectove ways to provide services through this crisis. We wish you strength, health and peace!

You can stay up-do-date on local developments here – Alameda County Public Health Department.

If you need anything, please email us.

In partnership,
