Youth ALIVE! is Oakland’s homegrown, anchor agency for violence prevention, intervention, and healing. For over three decades, we have never stopped working toward an Oakland that is safe and thriving. Everyone has a role to play! ** ** This free annual event will feature inspiring testimonials, as well as a panel discussion with clients, youth leaders, and the expert YA! Frontline staff who work tirelessly to promote peace in Oakland.

To provide a sense of what your support could mean, please consider the following:

• $100,000 covers one month of our team of violence interrupters responding to shootings across

  Oakland and mediating conflicts to prevent further violence.

• $25,000 helps 15 grieving families bury a loved one after the state denies their appeal.

• $10,000 teaches 300 middle school students the skills to talk a friend out of using a gun.

• $5,000 helps 10 recently shot and/or incarcerated youth with one month of bilingual case

  management.

• $2,500 brings community members impacted by violence to Sacramento to meet with lawmakers.
