Join Us for a Día de los Muertos Celebration in Partnership with EastSide Arts Alliance!

Youth ALIVE! is thrilled to partner with EastSide Arts Alliance for a vibrant and meaningful Día de los Muertos celebration in Oakland. We invite you to join us on Saturday, November 2, from 2-6 PM, at 2310 E. 12th Street for an afternoon filled with art, culture, and community connection.

What to Expect

This free community event is a special way to honor our loved ones, uplift tradition, and celebrate life together. The afternoon will feature a variety of activities that highlight the rich cultural heritage of Día de los Muertos, including:

🌼 Altar Installations honoring those who have passed
🎨 Art Demos and Installations showcasing local talent
🎶 Live Music and Drummers to bring the rhythm and energy
🚘 Car Expo featuring Oakland’s finest lowriders
🗣️ Speakers sharing words of wisdom and reflection
🍲 Free Food for everyone to enjoy

Youth ALIVE! is All In!

Our Youth ALIVE! team is excited to be a big part of the day! Look for us at:

🎨 Face Painting Station – Fun for kids and adults alike!
🚗 Lowrider Display – Showcasing the beauty of car culture.
🌭 Grill Station – Serving up delicious hot dogs and links.
🗣️ Outreach Booth – Learn about our programs and how we’re making a difference in the fight against violence in Oakland.
