Ricardo on the Radio
Our Intervention Manager Ricardo Garcia-Acosta spoke with the Real News Network, Baltimore, and as always did a great job of informing the world about what is happening in Oakland to prevent violence and support victims. The interview was in response to a new Guardian series examining a decline in violence in the Bay Area. You can read the inaugural installment of the Guardian series here. Read a transcript of Ricardo’s interesting informative conversation here.
“…community-driven strategy and having community folks that are indigenous to the communities, that are closest to the violence, to really be able to lead their efforts to stop some of these cycles.” - Ricardo Garcia-Acosta
