Host a “Tour” of our Mission

Want to help us spread the word?

Consider hosting a Meet Youth ALIVE tour! It can be virtual, in-person at our office, or a house party. It’s easy, quick and we can help you get it together so that more people learn about the impact of our programs for violence prevention, intervention and healing in Oakland.

How it works: As a tour host, you invite 10 to 20 of your people — friends, family, neighbors, coworkers — to log in to Zoom or come to our offices for an event that is inspiring, moving, informative and only lasts one hour.

What is a Meet Youth ALIVE! tour: A Meet Youth ALIVE! tour is an overview of our work and programs. Your guests will hear client stories firsthand, they will hear from Teens on Target youth leaders and from our staff who work the streets of Oakland to keep the peace.

The goal of a Meet Youth ALIVE! tour is to connect you to the work we do, to inspire you to help us achieve our mission, and to expand our network of friends and supporters.

At a Meet Youth ALIVE! tour, your guests will hear the story of former Khadafy Washington Project clients like the Humphries family.

Youth ALIVE!’s mission: to break the the cycle of violence and uplift community leaders through violence prevention, intervention, healing and advocacy

We can help: Being a volunteer tour host is easy and a great way to raise awareness of the impact of violence and what can be done to prevent it. We can help you organize your tour! For more information on how to become a Youth ALIVE! volunteer tour host, please contact Denay Harris.
