We’re 25 & we’re having a party!
On Thursday evening, June 22, please join Mayor Libby Schaaf, State Senator Nancy Skinner, and honoree Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O’Malley at Bocanoca Restaurant to celebrate Youth ALIVE!’s 25 years of violence Prevention, Intervention and Healing, with wine, beer and appetizers on the patio, followed by a gourmet Pan-American sit-down dinner inside the restaurant. Food, beverage, and entertainment are all provided in a beautiful waterside setting in Oakland’s Jack London Square. VIP ticket holders will also receive a welcome cocktail and bite, special seating, and a limited edition Oaklandish hoodie.
Honoring the Victim-Witness Program of Alameda County
This program, operated by Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O’Malley, was the first of its kind in the state of California, and is a state and national leader in providing caring and compassionate support to survivors of crime as they work through the emotional trauma of their victimization. Youth ALIVE!’s Caught in the Crossfire and Khadafy Washington Project, which serve victims of shootings, stabbings, beatings and homicides, have worked in close partnership with this office for many years, and are grateful to have such a resource in our community.
